In March 2020, when a global pandemic struck, the whole world was gripped by collective anxiety. Fear is the word on everybody’s lips as humanity stares into the abyss of an unprecedented crisis. From top business owners to people working in fast food outlets, an uncertain future has generated paralysis for everyone.

But Belfast-born hospitality and business entrepreneur Tom Smyth took a different approach.

He used this time of crisis to reflect on the strategies that propelled him to top-flight success over that last two decades.

Having started his career in a burger joint, to becoming one of the UK’s most successful businessmen, Tom now wants to help people re-invent themselves by sharing what growing up in Belfast taught him about the business of resilience.

This book is a history lesson and a street-psychology lecture, animated by a personal narrative of fearlessness in the face of extreme circumstances.

Using his own experiences of a working-class background and growing up in a war-torn society, Tom has written a book to help everyone struggling under the weight of self-generated fear.

Written in a unique voice, Fear-Less is very readable and accessible.

It’s a guide for those who want to build resilience and self-confidence to create a better future for themselves.

Tom has developed a unique self-improvement system called DREAM based on the five simple core principles of Determination, Regeneration, Energisation, Ambition and Motivation.

It is an easy formula to remember and practice so you can make it part of your everyday routine. Each section is carefully explained through anecdote, experience, insight and strategy.

Tom Smyth will be your best friend, mentor and motivator. By following the advice he shares in this book, you will be ready to seize all future opportunities and become the person you have always dreamed of being.

In a world of fear, this book is the antidote to all your self-limiting thoughts.

Following a business trip to Dubai, Tom Smyth returned to his home city of Belfast with a vision for the future of short stay and holiday accommodation.

He realised that there was an opportunity for top quality but affordable serviced apartments to flourish in the Northern Irish tourism scene.

Tom then partnered with an established serviced apartment provider in Belfast to expand his knowledge of the industry.

Subsequently, in June 2017 he launched his own brand, Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments,

Such is the success of his high-quality, flexible short-stay accommodation, in a very short space of time, Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments expanded beyond Tom’s local market.

Starting off with 31 high-spec apartments in Belfast, 33 in Liverpool and six in Newcastle, his award-winning company continues to grow rapidly and open in many cities in the UK and beyond.

Dream Apartments are also now available to both corporate and holiday travellers in Ireland and many major English cities, with advanced plans to launch in many more international locations.

Tom is currently personally overseeing new builds and deals in Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Dublin, Leeds, York, London and Berlin.

He has also negotiated strategic partnerships which will allow him to provide serviced apartments in Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Sao Paulo, Germany & Switzerland.

Offering a ‘home from home’ experience for business and leisure travellers, Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments scooped the coveted 2017 World Travel Award for Northern Ireland’s Leading Serviced Apartments and went on to win the prestigious award again in 2018 and 2019.

With a focus on comfort, style, affordability and prime central locations, multi-award winning Dream Luxury Serviced Apartments’ serviced accommodation is continuously in high demand from a broad clientele base from working professionals to city break tourists.

Tom Smyth remains fully committed to becoming a serious global player in the travel market with an excellent reputation for providing accommodation to both corporate and leisure clients.
